Cloudthroat is pleased to announce a new folio series that will feature Indigenous writers and artists with a specific focus. Each folio will be curated and accompanied by artist statements, biographies, and editor introductions to the work.
The first folio is seeking work from Indigenous women, non-binary and two-spirit communities. We will be accepting poetry, creative nonfiction, and artwork for the new folio! Arianne True will guest edit the new folio.
Arianne True (Choctaw, Chickasaw) is a queer poet, storyteller, and teacher from Seattle. They have worked and written everywhere from th tempoerate rainforest canopy to the rocky edges of the Salish Sea. Currently, Arianne is an MFA student at the Institute of American Indian Arts and a teaching artist with Writers in the Schools.
Due to Cloudthroat's small staff, submissions will be limited to the month of November. Please visit cloudthroat.com/submit for submission guidelines. Please note that all new submissions moving forward should be sent to email@example.com beginning November 1st, 2017. Deadline for the folio will be November 30 2017.
